Glenans Christmas Party
All SID members are invited to the GISC Christmas party this month.
It's
on in the DMYC Wednesday 20th December at 9.00pm

Membership Survey
A club membership survey was sent out this week. This will take about 15 minutes to complete. I would really appreciate if you make the effort to complete this, and thanks to everybody who has done so already.
We need to plan the future direction of the club in terms of fleet purchases, activities etc.
It's your club, please tell us how we can make it better.
Frostbites
The DMYC frostbites are in full swing with 3 races completed in November. We have 25 club members taking part.
Best result to date was a second place by Emma & Sidney last weekend, a race in which eight out of nineteen boats in the PY class were flying the SID burgee.
Check out the club results ... http://sailingindublin.ie/frostbite/Frostbite06.html or call into the DMYC if you are around Dun Laoghaire on a Sunday afternoon.
There are still fifteen races to go so contact Colm if you would like to get involved.
Ruffian Liftout
The Ruffian lift had to be deferred on a few occasions due to bad weather. Peter is working to organize this and will need help at short notice so please lend a hand if you can get down to the harbour for an hour.
Also there are a number of maintenance jobs that will need to be done over the winter so please let Peter know if you can help out.
Sports Capital Program
The club has submitted an application for Sports Capital Program (lottery) funding for 2007 to assist in the purchase on new dinghies. Thanks to Chris, Damien, John, Martina and Wyn for all their help in putting this together. Hopefully the election year next year will be a good one for sport.
SID Overseas
We recently sent Bronagh to China in an effort to raise our worldwide profile. Also, Damien ran 26 miles on the streets of New York to fly the flag (and raised 1,600 euros for the lifeboat), and he then jogged up to Canada as a warm down. Check out the latest sightings of our exclusive SID T-Shirts... http://sailingindublin.ie/tshirts.shtml
If you have any pictures to contribute please send them on.
