Christmas Party
The
Christmas party was held in Uki Yo Japanese restaurant/karaoke bar on December 14th.
The Pop
Idol contest uncovered some budding new talent although some of the judges comments are not printable...If only we had such
enthusiasm for winter sailing...
Here
are some pictures from Damien

Thanks again
to Angela for organizing.
Ruffian Sails
As
you were all so good this year, Santa brought a full set of sails for the
Ruffian. They are second-hand but in pretty good shape, some used for as
little as one season. Kite-flying should be a little more colourful
next year.
Frostbites
Series
one competed on December 17. Unfortunately three races out of seven were lost
to the storms.(and also ITA's mast). Hopefully the weather will be better for
the New Year, it could hardly be worse!.
Best
SID boat was Magno 2660 which finished 3'rd overall.

Marina Extension
Work on
This will effectively reduce the middle harbour to a
narrow fairway.
You can see an outline of the plans here... http://www.dlharbour.ie/content/notices/notice.php?newid=707
Beware of the Ferry
It's
always a good idea to avoid the HSS when your
out sailing. In general you will come off second best in any collision....
