The Ruffian will be racing every Tuesday initially and
some Saturdays.
All members are welcome to take part, please contact Damien if you are
interested.
A small contribution to entry fee will be required.
If you haven't raced before this is a great opportunity to give it a try, you
don't have to commit to sailing regularly.
There is also dinghy racing Tuesdays and
Saturdays. If anyone is interested in entering a boat please contact Nicola
Ruffian is entered in the DL regatta.
Dates are July 12th to 15th. (Thu afternoon, Fri-Sat-Sun)

Unfortunately the regatta committee refused to
provide a PY dinghy class this year.

club dinghies took part in the first regatta of the year on April 30, Colm/Wyn and Chris/Una raced in
the 420 class and Sidney/Jo and Robin/Elma in the PY
on our Magnos.
Congratulations to Sidney & Jo who finished joint first in the PY
class.
Dinghy Purchase
We are going ahead with purchase of three
Laser Vagos and would hope to have
this completed before the end of June.
Cruiser Purchase
The cruising purchase committee
has been meeting regularly and are actively researching options
with regard to a cruiser boat purchase. If you have any contributions or
would like to get involved please contact Peter.
Powerboat Training

Membership
We currently have 51 members. We need more
members for the club to be viable, especially as we are
investing in the fleet, so please spread the word. Why not bring your
friends or colleagues along for a guest sail some evening. No previous sailing
experience is required to sail on the Ruffian.
