Presentation of Accounts for 2006

Proposal to retain Michael Dwyer as accountant and appoint Byrne, Byrne & Byrne as auditors

Membership
Currently 69 members.
Proposal to set membership fee for 2007 at €325 and this would remain the same for 2008. Proposed by Brenda O’Connell, Seconded by Cearbhall Daly.

Late AGM due to difficulties regarding filling the treasurer role. Thanks to Ann Coyne for taking this role.
2006 – Successful year with ruffian racing, dinghy racing & social events.
Encourage all members to participate in training and reminder of membership rebate for this.
Congratulations to those who recently qualified as dinghy instructors.
Thank you to committee members, captains, vice-captains, organisers, social committee and volunteers.
Dinghy report
Update from dinghy secretary Nicola Byrne regarding SID participation in DBSC, weeknight sailing sessions and weekend sessions. Upcoming SID regatta on 2nd September for ISA Sail the World Weekend. Contact Sheenagh Brennan for details.
Regatta weekend in Collanmore on 28/29 September. Contact Jo Toomey for details
Ruffian report
Update from Ruffian secretary, Peter McIntyre regarding participation in DBSC, Nationals, Howth, Lambay, Wicklow & Dun Laoghaire regattas. Thanks to all involved. Successful sailing season. Help needed with maintenance of Ruffian.

Cruiser Purchase update
Damien Byrne gave update on progress to purchase new cruiser. Outline of main benefits of purchase and also concerns. Commitment required from members to sail and assist with maintenance. Several boats looked at already and plan is for original committee to meet again and plan to place an offer for one of the boats viewed.

Peter McIntyre gave update on recent developments in Coal Harbour re: access and toilet facilities etc.
Glenans boat in Dublin for winter and available for training sessions.
Volunteers to complete lottery application regarding a new container- Chris Reilly, Martina Michaels, Colm Roche. Need to seek permission from the harbour company prior to application.
Maintenance – More input from all members. Maintenance log to be completed after each session.
