Safety Message

All Sailing In Dublin Club members should ensure that they have adequate training, follow the advice of club captains and become familiar with the information in this section.

Ultimately, however, “Your safety is YOUR responsibility”. Before each session you should consider your physical condition, experience and abilities, and the conditions on that day, then decide if it is safe for you to sail. Even the most experienced sailors will decide to go home rather than sail if the conditions are not suitable, or if they are not feeling up to it on that particular day.
“It is better to be on the land, wishing that you were on the sea, than to be on the sea, wishing that you were on the land”!!

Sail when it is safe to do so & have lots of fun!

David S. Byrne (Safety Officer)
